The short version
House Manager keeps what you record on your own device. During early access there is no House Manager account and we keep no cloud copy, so we do not receive, see, sell or share your household or financial data.
What is stored, and where
- Everything you enter — transactions, accounts, cards, supplies, shopping lists, appliances, photos you attach — is saved in your browser's storage on the device you use.
- It stays there until you delete it (Settings → delete data) or clear your browser data. Use Settings → Backup to keep a copy.
Features that use Google, only when you turn them on
- Receipt scanning and price search work with a Google AI (Gemini) key that you add yourself. When you use them, the receipt photo or the item name is sent from your device directly to Google under your key and Google's terms. We do not see it.
- Price-search results may link to online stores. Some links may later become affiliate links; if so, we will say so on the result, and it will never change which price is shown as cheapest.
Service providers
- Hosting: this website and app are served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request).
- Fonts and code libraries: text fonts load from Google Fonts, and some app code libraries load from the jsDelivr network.
- We use no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies.
Family sync (coming later)
If we add cloud sync between family members' phones, it will be optional, and this notice will be updated before it launches to explain what is stored, where, and for how long.
Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) you may ask to access, correct, delete or move personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Because your app data stays on your device, you can view, export and delete it yourself at any time.
